So the job search isn't going too great. Probably because I sort of got defeated after receiving minimal/no feedback. I need to trudge on, I KNOW these things take time, and I know I need to be positive so this is why I have awesome things that I am going to do with my life to keep me happy, healthy and HIGH ENERGY
1) Continue to learn french. Rosetta Stone is great, and its quick and fast and a good way to learn any language. Yes, I recommend it for anyone who wants to step outside the box and learn a new language. I am tired of being the ignorant American who only speaks English. My positive french reinforcement came on friday night when I was waiting for the cross town bus and there were two french guys behind me who said something rather funny (I chucked) and they asked if I spoke french! AND naturally I was like YES! JE PARLE FRANCAIS...and then they asked another question which I didn't quite understand, and it sort of put me back to square one, but the lesson here is I went out there! If you speak french, WE SHOULD HANG OUT. I'm thinking of taking another class in the summer, or at least trying to have a network of people who I converse with on a regular basis besides my dad's super awesome Senegalese
friend and building manager.
2) Actually learn guitar and JAM. I have had my guitar for over three years now and its appaling that all I know I how to play is a rift from Seven Nation Army and some LAME song I wrote for someone who is not even in my life anymore. I am jamming with a friend after work today and I couldn't be more excited to do so.3) Volunteer. Like I said previously, my lofty Peace Corps goal was essentially to help other people. BUT I can do that right here in my own backyard. I am volunteering at the Earth Day Festivities on Friday. I'll be handing out flyers in midtown friday morning-afternoon so come find me! Also its Earth Week. SO LOVE YOUR MOTHER AND DO THINGS THAT ARE GOOD FOR THE EARTH. My tip for today is to never accept plastic bags. And if you can't refuse them, REUSE them. Personally I use them to pick up otto's poopy.
4) Run, bike, go to the gym and do Yoga. Actually have established abs. Circa this picture. Is this vain? Probably, but it's a motivator nonethesame. Seriously, damn!!! High school was sort the high point in terms of my physical fitness. I ate whatever I wanted and I had these spicy abs. Damn you womanhood! 5) Be more positive! Seriously this helps in so many facets of life. Also to go hand in hand with that. RELAX and care less about the future, and try to focus on the now.
I'm probably missing a few things, but I think those are the most important things.
