Home

Hello,

I haven't written in some time. It has been super busy on the me front ever since I got back to the East Coast. I am not going to detail everything that has happened, but I will give everyone an update.

Last time I wrote was my last day of work. The next day, August 15, I hiked 18 miles from the east side of the park to the west side of the park. We hiked to Thunder Lake and then up Boulder Grand Pass and over toward the other side. The hike up the Boulder Grand Pass was not terribly difficult. Long's Peak was way harder, but the way down to the west side was miserable. We lost the trail and had to literally descend a steep mountain cliff with plenty of fallen trees. We eventually made it down the mountain to Fourth Lake and continued on an unimproved trail towards Spirit Lake where the "improved" trail started. However we had to climb many fallen trees and at one point I was poked by a tree branch in a very compromising place on the bod. After the groin stabbing  we continued onward and finally reached the end of the trail 13 hours later. It was a very long tiring hiking full of rain, and hail. The weather had ADD, but it was amazingly beautiful.

So that is the end of my pictures and experience from ROMO. All in all it was an amazing experience and I loved every minute of it! It was super beautiful. As far as what I have been up to since then, I have been in NY for the past couple of days. I spent a couple of days in the city seeing old friends and catching up on the city's sights. On Wednesday I went up to my mom's place in Stoneridge, NY and went on a short hike on the rail trail there. It was also very beautiful, but very different then ROMO. For one thing, it was flat. Secondly it was super humid with tons of bugs. I have uploaded a video of my experience.

After my mom's place I went to my Dad's in Newburgh. On Wednesday me and my folks are heading to Cape May, NJ for a couple of days and then I go back to CP. That's all....at least till next time
