HELLO!
What a week I have had. This week was orientation week and training which has been pretty hectic. We have been going on alot of bus tours and car tours of the park and learning all about the three different ecosystems here, the montaine, subalpine and alpine. Yesterday we visited sheep lakes and heard a program all about Big Horned Sheep. There is a group of volunteers here and some rangers called the Big Horned Bregade that stop cars crossing the highway so that sheep can graze in the area known as Sheep Lakes. In this area they get the recommended nurtrients that they need in the soil. It's been alot of fun. I have also been preparing for my program that I have to give in 2 weeks. I will be riding the shuttle bus up to Alpine Visitors center, the highest visters center in the world along Trail Ridge Road which is the longest continuously paved road in North America. I will be giving an interpretive program there one day a week.
Anyway its been so much fun working here. It is so beautiful here and the people are awesome. Having a blast. Got to run because my internet time at the library is running out, only 1 minute and 8 seconds to go. Peace out! Till next time
