Hello all!
Summer has officially sprung here in Estes Park. This weekend was the free weekend which meant that there were so many tourists here. It was out of control!!! But anyway, nothing boring about it at all, plenty to do actually. This week was my first full week working the bear lake shuttle buses and roving in my uniform. I got to talk to a lot of people and felt like a real spokesperson for the park.
Today I went on a 9 mile hike from Bear Lake to Nymph, Dream, and Emerald Lake and then circled around Lake Hayiaya which had many feet of snow still. I got lost and eventually had to back track to find the trail which included being cautious of many elements; falling trees, slippery rocks and falling waist deep into the snow. It was a very beautiful and scenic hike, but boy are my feet sore. Just beasted down some Nepal food and am ready for an afternoon snoozer. That's it for now. Can't wait for the parentals to come visit me here in Colorado in a couple of weeks!
