Old friends new places

Hello!

I have decided that I miss NYC terribly. I miss cities terribly and I will never ever live in a suburb if I can help it. I think I will either live in the mountains somewhere or in a city and not in the middle of the two. Anyway with that being said I really miss home, I miss NYC and I miss walking. I miss walking anywhere you have to go and not worrying about almost killing yourself to cross a highway.

This weekend I went to Denver to visit an old friend and my old nanny. It was so good to spend some time with her. I had to rent a car and drive to Denver from Estes Park and it was more than stressful. Because I am pretty much an occasional driver I forgot that I had the parking break on for about 10 miles and realized soon after that I could have royally fucked up the car if I hadn't taken it off in the next couple of minutes. But luckily it didn't mess up the car more than it was already messed up. This car was so old it had a cassette player and roll down windows and you had to manually lock the doors. Anyway I made it there and back alive without any damage.

This week starts up the Alpine Tour, the five hour tour up along Trail Ridge Road, which I am freaking out about. I'll have to de-stress somehow today since I am all wound up from driving and from this tour. Maybe a nice cold one would do it.

Anyway that is it for now. I am going to try to insert some photos in this blog so you can travel with me!
